I dont honestly beleive there is such thing as "too many" and im not saying that in a joking manner. I think there is a few things that govern it one being storage you have to be your own judge, if you can store them all and not have a big mess that angers neighbors etc that may cause issues etc I have 20-30 ranging in all kinds of bikes stored in three different spots all my nice ones are up stairs in the spare room dubbed the bike room I got a workbench in there and my stand other ones that dont get ridden as much or are worth alot are in the other spare room downstairs others in the shed but there all neatly hanging and organized (im kinda ocd when it comes to that stuff) Another thing is if you have to rent a storage unit is the cost to keep them worth what the bikes are? I have flip bikes also that help give me "bike money" as my girl and I call it. The other is like another member said is the wife/gf is ok with it, my girlfriend is freakin awesome, she loves the bikes from time to time she'll throw out a do you really need it? you have one like it... which I think is good as sometimes we need the voice from reality lol but shes got probably 4-5 bikes of her own that she loves you gotta throw the dog a bone to keep em happy right :p but I have friends that there wife wont let them buy nothing. he has 2 bikes here hiding because she doesnt know about them... I dont think its a great idea at all to hide things from a wife etc but thats up to him. im just greatfull my girl loves it especially with 2 of em in the living room on display full time! Another thing is people are so concerned with whats normal... but what or who really is normal?? its a hobby and I have more then one hobby you need a hobby or you'll go nuts but who and why are you comparing yourself to "normal" when theres no explanation to what it is? dont try make your self someone your not.

sorry for the long read.

I always say my bikes are money in reserve. I normally only buy a bike if I can make money on it. I may keep it for a few years between buying and selling but I still make a profit and get use out of it.
