I like that. The bright yellow with knobbies pops out of the computer screen.

The frame looks nice and large, better than the bikes.

that bike is so sick its disgusting (good way). beefie, hardcore, handbuilt and at the same time timeless and clean. love the raw frame finish against the loud colors of the wheels and rims. rat all the way!

Wow are those handle bars just 45 degree angles. I just tried my first set of bars and i kept puttin holes in the angles. That bike rocks looks like it would do a good WHEELIE. 8)

We made the bars using the following:

two 2" blocks of wood
A tape measure
a protractor
a piece of mat board
a pencil
a sharpie
chopsaw
welder
air sander to finish welds.

took about a half hour for the bars and about 40 hours to make two frames.

This is an incredible full custom build, and I love that you did it without going over the top. Fairly conventional geometry etc, but still a truly one of a kind bike! Really, just amazing work!

Yeah, it's easy to keep adding and keep adding until you have some clown bike, and that's what most people do. At some point you have to stop yourself and just build another instead of piling all your ideas onto one bike.

here's a link to the build pics:

Wow! The guys in the Klunker Build Off are lucky you didn't enter that thing! Totally solid and agressive character, yet subtle in a ratty/klunker sort of way. NicE!!!!

Klunker build off? Wha...

Did my first mountain bike ride with it yesterday. Frame was good and stiff, handled well & climed good too. I'll have to change the gearing. Going down was interesting as I only have a coaster brake so I did a little sideways sliding. All the grease came out of the hub fro the heat. I kept thinking that the bars would break but they held fast. Very happy with the results.

rev,
That's a great looking bike with some very cool mods, and the handlebars really complete the look. I recognize your name from your outstanding SVISBF YouTube videos. Scenic Root has to be one of my all time favorite videos!
