I had sold off a few of my builds , thrown away a bunch of stuff and decided to build small motorcycles. Now due to health reasons I have been told to exercise more. My choices were walk some....swim some...or ride a bike. Now I hate to walk...too slow....I don't have a pool , but I do have the ability to build a bicycle. I kept a couple , but need something a little cooler for my actual have to use one.
I had started a build before all this happened. I stuck it on the back burner. I laced a set of worksman 24'' rims to a 7 speed nexus and a worksman front drum brake without the innerds. Bought a set of Fattie-o's and then built a frame. I already had the front of a 7'' stretched 1937 Colson that I built from scratch. I bought a cool bender that would do a looptail rear triangle all in one piece. I had it welded it up when I shut down my shop. So now all it really needs is a light sanding ,some bondo work, and some flat black paint. So I figured I would post my process of finishing my bike. Hope you enjoy.

Very Cool Ride!!!Glad to hear your building again 8)

US,
Having you building again is like getting an early Christmas present!

Sorry to hear about your health, but glad you can improve it through some exercise. Looking forward to watching your creations again.

Cheers,
Dr.T

Thanks Fat Boy and Dr T. Glad you like this one. I'm going to try to stretch my abilities on something after I get this one done. Have a few ideas that may work.

Thanks King. I always like a Colson and the pedal forward style they came out with. I Don't like small cramped up frames , so I copied a 37 Colson I got from Hooch and stretched it 7'' . On this one I was practicing a looptail rear triangle that several people have started using. May be pretty cool when its finished.

Glad you like it Mpls , It should be done pretty quick even though sanding and bondo are the things I hate to do the most.

Love that frame Uncle Stretch! :D Glad to see you're back at building

Thanks guys glad yall like it. I built several of the stretched Colson's and they turned out to be my favorites. This is the first one with the looptail rear triangle. Won't ride any different but will add a little to the build ,and give me a chance to expand that style a little.

Glad you like it Critter but alas I won't be doing any production runs on it. I may try to do one out of the 1 1/2'' tubing and see how it looks with the big stuff. Might be pretty cool too.

thats a beautiful frame paul! 8) its really great having you back building. your words of wisdom have been sorely missed!

Yeah John it was fun looking through all my boxes for the stuff to stick it together. Felt like old times. I should have just swung by your house and picked up some unusual stuff for a bike. I know you got it tucked away.
Thanks Iven it might look pretty good once I get it finished. I can't hardly mess up from here.

Put on some bondo and did some sanding. Then I sprayed it flat black. I stuck a few things on , but as I did , I scratched the wetish paint some so I will wait till tomorrow to put on the crank, chain and hook up the 7 speed. Here it is so far.
