Bad Craigslist Photos....

i love bad photo's! but only if they come with bad descriptions!

sure ya might have to pick up the phone, or type a quick email or god forbid, get out from behind the computer and get some fresh air into your lungs. but bad photo's often make for good deals.

i picked up a bass guitar from ebay a few weeks ago. $30. ad said "bass guitar" with a dark grainy photo. i had no idea it was a 1978 fender musicmaster ($500 ebay average) until i asked. if it were listed as a fender or had a great pic, it probably wouldn't be in my basement.

i imagen alot of other people didn't give the ad the time of day, and thats why nobody else bid.
i have a long list of items i've picked up for a song due to bad descriptions with bad photo's.

i say "bring em on!"

That is a great way to look at things and you are right, most including me would pass. As an aspiring photog, I hate bad pics.

I've managed to buy 2 Brooks Professional and a Swift saddle for less than US$20 each because of bad photos and descriptions on ebay. All were in perfect condition and were easily flipped (with better pics). It is always a good idea to process the bad photos with a good editor to see what the person is actually selling.

A neighbor of mine responded to a local craigslist ad that showed an unidentifiable car in a dark garage that said 'daily driver in good shape -$1000' - turned out to be a '64 Nova with less than 30,000 on it that was used by the original owner to drive to the local store twice a week. The son-in-law was selling it after she passed away...
