Balloon wheels...are these a good deal?

I've been wanting to put some balloon tires on my Schwinn Corvette (I know i'll have to modify the front and rear forks to accept the bigger tires and fenders). I ran across these in a local antique store. Is $20 a good price for these balloon tire rims?

If you are competent to lace them yourself and they are straight, I would say that was a good deal, but that is just me...

Actually, the factory S-7 rims are taller than standard 26" rims. Many of the newer ww 2.125 tires, like Kendas, are small enough to fit under the fenders. Or, you could get some 26" balloon fenders, which will generally work w/minor tweaking. -Adam
