Bamboo Frame-Set

I picked up a bamboo frame at the 2019 VeloSwap in Denver last weekend from the builder. I had a Monarch style springer fork that I mocked up for a possible fit.
Thinking it could be a future build off project. It’s a custom built frame which according to the last build off rules which would put it into Class 2. Not a high vote getter though based on past BO’s.

I've been thinking about bamboo for a fork truss. There is some inherent springiness!

That's crying out for a Tiki theme (with grass skirts? ) I've thought about fabbing a bamboo cruiser before. There's a lot to it, not just a bundle of old dried bamboo poles...

Yes my first fishing as a kid was a bamboo pole, hook, line, sinker, cork bobber and a worm. Good ole days they were.

Amazing at the ingenuity and skill put forth there. At our MCB-3 base camp in Vietnam we did a chapel and an non-com club out of traditional bamboo and built by local labor.

Pretty cool the way they are assembled, almost like carbon fiber builds. A Tiki theme would definitely be a possible outcome.

TIKI enough I think.
I've always appreciated your builds for keeping them tastefully done without going over the top.
I'm sure you know these tags are abundant with many years and colors available.
I'm liking your mock ups and looking forward to seeing the evolution.

Not to be derogatory, but a Flintstones build or theme could also be possible. With the right details it'd be pretty cool. Definitely needs a sabertooth seat cover.

Still in mock-up with available and found parts. Don’t think I’m out to create a theme bike, just a good rider with a non-traditional look. Not steel, aluminum, titanium, carbon fiber, fiber glass, wood, but rather alternative sustainable bamboo.
If this one pans out I might even try my hand at one of the available kits out there.
