I wanted to post some pics of my bamboo SS project now that its been on the road for a while. After chopping the tubes and some rough mitering,I built a "jig" to fine tune and tack the joints
tacking and spacing the rear dropouts
checking alignment, and getting excited to see progress
the first layer of carbon fiber wrapping for the joint
second layers,looking kinda rough
and the finished frame
any good bike needs a good headbadge
installing some parts
and the completed bike
after about 100 miles of commuting,no problems so far. Alot of people claim ambient temp changes are the death of these bikes, but ive ridden in 95 degrees, and 50 degrees with no problems. Im trying to get the word out, I'd like to start building these to sell.
