It had it's first day out today.

The pedals are only a temporary solution. I just couldn't find any 1/2" rat traps in England and had to have a set
sent over from the States. Of course, they didn't arrive in time for today's event.

Seeing that you are from California, I can understand that you are unaware of the concept of having to wait for weeks until a moment comes, where the weather is ambient enough for the duration required to take a few picures outdoors, only to rush back inside and painstaikingly remove all the water drops that have formed on the chrome.
