Hello i'm new here.
My name is Jack and i'm living in the south of The Netherlands.
I bought the Basman last August 2 nd hand from a guy from Belgium.
During the winter months i did a little build over, and made it a little more my bike.
I call it Basman 883 because it has: Nexus (8) spd, Rigida DHL (8)0 mm rims, (3).0 Thick Brick WW on it.
Here some pics of the Bas so far.

When I bought it.

Put a taillight on it.

And a Headlight.

Also put a 346 3 piece crank with 346 spade pedals on it.

Then some bigger changes took place.

I didn't like the 346 seat, it looked a little flying high to me.
So i decided to mount a old Brooks B33 saddle.

This is how it looks right now.

The Brooks B33 saddle with tripple rails and twisted springs all in chrome.
And the taillight comes out inbetween the springs.

Looking good, I especially dig that headlight - what brand is that ?

Here's my Basman: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=22529

Not finished yet by far, need to pay the Dome a visit soon 8)

The headlight is a motorcycle headlight from the 50's.
Took me some work to make it nice, and made Leds and batteries in it also.

This was how it looked when i found it on MP.

After i removed the paint.

After all the holes were welded down.
The mounting was made a little longer and the hole bigger to fit under de A-head stem.
The Leds and batteries ready to go inside.

Nice handywork on that headlight, also it's got a great looking lens, I like it a lot.
I need to look up how to convert to LEDs, you make it look so simple ! (I admit, electricity is not my strong point...)

Gee those Basman's are popping up everywhere. Glad there is still people with money.....Looks really nice.
