I have a project in mind using 4 - 12 bulb LED light strips. Planning on using a 9V battery to power them. My question is (if anyone might know) how long will the lights stay lit before running out of juice. I suppose I could just do it, turn them on & see how long it will last, but thought someone on the site might have some input on the subject. These are designed to run on 12 volts, but a 9 volt will light them, just not as bright.

I am not totally sure, but I will say a long time. LEDs have a very small current draw and therefore don't use a lot of juice. I had 168 1/8" LEDs on my bike when I dressed it up Halloween. I used three AA batteries (cheap off brand chinese batteries) to power it and it didn't show any signs of fading after 10 hours. Not much help, but I will hit a couple of my electronics forums and see if I can find more info.
