*Riding with the club for almost a year now I learned that initially there were just a small handful of beach cruiser riders (the reason for the club's name) but has evolved since then to what we are now. All types of custom and ratrod bikes and builders are welcome, except for the lowriders and easy riders since they have their own groups anyway. But, everybody is still welcome to ride with us ;-)

So, I was out on our semi-regular rides with my wife and god daughter last Sunday, June 29, 2014 along Manila Bay when we chanced upon the BBCs parked by the side of the road. A nod from one of them while riding made us stop and chat a bit. So now I 'm the latest addition to their crew. Here's a few of their members and their bikes. I will be posting more photos of our members, events, rides and their bikes. Cheers!

Here's some photos from our members, bikes and ride last weekend and the weekend before that. My wife an I also just recently discovered this bike themed cafe with good food, free showers and all day secured bike parking for customers.

A typical Filipino breakfast of Adobo flakes (left) and beef tapa (right). Also, I was just trying to be funny with those wrenches :-D

+1!

Joe, looks like a heck of a cruiser scene over there in PI! You ought to tell Bicycle Café to look into some Park Tools silverware!
Man it's been so long since I've had "good" lumpia!

Yeah, in the past year the cruiser scene here has been growing. Lumpia, yeah that's one of my faves as well!

These would look sweet in a bike-themed cafe. Heck I'd want them in our home! :)

Here's some photos from last Friday and I just wanted to share how far Philippine custom bike building has gone in the past couple of years. The guys in the club are doing amazing things! I hope you like them :)

Built from scratch, all aluminum cruiser/tracker built by Emil Florentino. He's a Ratrodbikes Facebook member, check his stuff out!

Sick detail of the polished and brushed aluminum frame! Just tape and steel wool!

Now here's a polished aluminum, belt-driven, single fork custom build by Dan Pao. He told me he chopped and stretched a regular aluminum cantilever cruiser (used to be painted blue) and converted it to this thing of beauty.

This one's a work in progress. It's gonna have speakers and an LCD screen when it's done. It has also already been fitted with the battery housing on the frame.

Wow those are super cool Joe. Thanks for takin' pics and sharin'.

Those polished alum ones give me some ideas for a polished alum bike I've been thinking about for a while...:39:
