Just one more reminder why any Beast needs an immediate and complete dismantel, lube and adjustment.

Bearing from the rear hub right out of the box:

Looks exactly like one of the bearing cages I found in my BB.
Luckily I had a BB the same size in my junk box.

I just un-boxed mine, took it apart, then put it back together...

all my bearings had minimal grease on them and LOTS of metal shavings.....so I cleaned them all, caked them up good w/ Super Lube (synthetic grease that I used in my ratchets), and re-assembled and went for a ride....the bike definitely needs better gears, layed back seat post, and a new set of handle bars (they're too narrow for my taste)..

I'm about to go to Wal-Mart and buy a seat for it too....the one that's on it is NOT comfy

I work in the oilfield so I'm planning on taking mine to work to ride around the big ranches on the lease roads

So sad. A brand new bike that is broken. Thanks for shareing?
