$159 isn't bad, but dolomites are $199 right now. Thats a lot more bike for an extra $40.

Yep, depends on what you want and what your plans are for it. Buying a Beast to put multi-gears or brakes on doesn't make any sense now. If you just want a cheap fat bike single speed now is the time. If you want decent with brakes and gears, it probably makes more sense to by a bikesdirect bike over the dolomite due to the very low quality dolomite discs and bearings. I checked my notes (first post above), the Beast was $149 for a few hours black friday 2013. I also noticed the red/blue/green have changed prices since yesterday but I didn't record those prices. Corporate wallyworld is at it again playing with prices for who knows what reason. Perhaps someone needs to be busy to justify their job. If black is your thing, this is your chance. I know a $5 can of rattle paint can make any bike black but you either spray everything to get that "this bike is stolen" look or spend hours dismantling and reassembling. Wallys home page is pitching "Cyber Week" instead of black friday or cyber monday pricing so maybe the 159 beast & 199 dolo will last a few more days.

The black beast for $159 is a good deal especially if you are looking for 4 inch wide fat wheels and a wide fork that will accept 4 inch wide wheels.. I cannot find any other source for those ispecific under $400 total.
