As I'm sure most people on this board, I hate paying a lot of money for a bike. I have wanted a Schwinn Racer for a while but it sure is hard to find a nice one under 100 bucks. I found this Penny's 3 speed leaning against a dumpster at my girlfriends condo. I aired the tires up and rode it. Not a flipin thing wrong with it, besides everything needs grease. I actually like this better than the Schwinn counterpart, the fenders on this are sweet. I don't think the patina look is good for this style of bike so it might get repainted and pin striped over the weekend.

Schwinns are nice but can sometimes be hard to find like where I live, theres really none here, I did score one for 15$ the other weel though lol, we got lots of raleigh though~! I love raleigh lol thats a nice looking ride too

Repainted and pinstriped over one weekend? Man, you must be good. Please post a pic of your repainted bike when you get it finished. Gary

If you use automotive paint it can go really fast. I would'nt take that one down to metal, just scuff it, prime, paint clear. According to the style of the Pennys logo its 63-72, the Portage Michigan bike registration is dated 73.
