This frame sans seat followed a crusty Phantom into my stable a couple months ago.
I was told it was a Hiawatha. Cleveland Welding is my guess.
It's a 24" single bar tanker, paint stripped long ago.
I scrapped the fubar original fork and kept broken truss rods parts.
After a couple of prudent donor buys and a parts swapping fiesta, we now have one more 70 year old bike back on its street.
I have a set of Schwinn(?) middleweight fenders on hand that fit, if it may suit a speedy buyers vision.
With that 26" fork on a 24" frame, it leads to some interesting wheel combo possibilities.
A 24/20 combo with a nanner might be wicked, tho I posess none of those parts personally....at the moment.
@Mr. Monkeyarms that Ace is ace! The brazed tank joints fill me with joy and the chain guard is delightful. @late for dinner the Hiawatha/CW is a beaut too, really nice conservation of the patina. Is that linseed oil?
Yes Matti, I use boiled Linseed Oil on everything.
I figure this is a good choice of finish as this little piggy is goes off to market.
The oil treatment can be maintained or removed to suit the new pilot's vision.
