That's a pretty tasty seafoam ride you got there 👍

Before and after of a simple project I did this past weekend. I swapped the original wheelset for a pair of WWII era wheels (28''x1-1/2'' also marked as "F.13" for Canadian standards, though it's the same size as modern 700c) I had from another CCM. Did an overhaul on the rear hub as well. Rear axle didn't fit so I filed the dropouts a bit. rear tire had to be deflated to install as well, not much space. front tire clearance is 1.7mm give or take. Similar for the rear on each side of the chain stays. Wiped down the frame with BLO.

Rear hub also has a patent from 1937 on it. When I tore it apart to regrease, I seen that every part inside was stamped with CCM followed by a number in the 40s. I'm curious if those are part numbers or the year they were made?

I only looked at the first page and the last page of this thread but it’s been going for quite some time and I’m thinking it will give me a good idea of the historical development of what is going on here.

I just have to sit down and read all 45 pages.

Was given this Huffy Santa Fe, I stripped it down and removed the graphics. Also shown are the grips, seat and tires I chose for it.

Next I primed it white.

My daughter immediately asked me for it in pink. I painted it Rustoleum Champaign Pearl Metallic and clear coated it. Then I detailed and assembled the bike. Since it was for her I added some custom "Princess Edition decals crowns here and there and etc.

My 1956 Hercules "Royal Prince". I'm always impressed with how well made these old 3 Speeds were. And they're faster than most expect. Purchased for $40.00 and just did the usual maintenance stuff; cleaned, bearings attended to, new tires, cables, a more "proper" Brooks and added a rear rack.
