Ka-POW!!! That's a great turnaround! I really like that crank sprocket. Haros were the coolest thing back then...

I started with an Elgin Motobike bought from a friend last summer.
I added fenders and matching fork purchased years ago.
About the time I got this together an egg crate rack popped up for sale over at the Cabe that showed nice OG paint on the front bracket with spray paint over the rest. Had to have it!
About 3 hours, 30ish cotton balls & some Goff Off later...
Got the rack mounted today.
Then pulled a chain guard from the pile to try out. I'm right handed but ride a bike left handed so my pants get greasy when I stop & put my right foot down. A guard will help but not sure about this one......
It will be ok until I have time to reach into the pile again to try more....

Restoration of my survivor 1985 26" Repco Ranger.
This bike started a 5 speed, but suffered a dodgy single speed conversion. I re installed period correct derailleur and thumby, widened the stock bars by 3" each side. Added a nice 7 speed weinmann wheel set, with NOS Irc gum walls. Citric acid bath, polish, and paint touch ups, to retain a much of the original paint and decals as possible.

Before ... Some homemade stretched cruiser type frame using what looks like 2 pairs of forks for the rear chain stays and dropouts,rusty paint layered on and in pretty bad shape...

After... Some black Apes, BMX style stem, some good ole Rust-Oleum, a 3 piece crank, and some 24" x 3" wheels I scavenged off of some weird looking beach cruiser with a surf board for a top tube...
