I'm wanting to repaint a project bike of mine. Could get it powdercoated but can't justify the price with the wifey. What is your opinion on the best top coat that is long lasting, durable, and hard as heck (aka bullet proof so I don't have to keep repainting). Don't want to spend a lot of time on prepping and painting just to have it look like crap after the first time of riding it. Any ideas?

autozone carries a new basecoat clearcoat paint. 24 buck for a quart and its ready to spray out of the can. lotsa colors to choose from. you cant go wrong with base/clear combo specially at that price.

Does that mean you need your own sprayer or it comes in a spray can? I searched the auto zone site and I'm not sure I found what you mentioned. May not be on there yet?
