Best way to mount a new seat to an old bike?

I popped on a new seat before my ride today this morning , and i had a spacer issue with the new seat rails . I flipped the clamp over to fit the seat post and added spacers , but it ended up moving on my ride . What are you guys doing to make up the difference to secure it ?

Change the clamp out, with the original.

You could swap a clamp or use a shim, but then again, you could also support someone who does top notch work also!

I did it didn't work there is about a 1/4 inch gap between the bracket and the seat rails ( both sides )

Gotta put the washers in.
Tighten it down.
