BF Goodrich/Schwinn question?

I know that Schwinn made bikes for BF Goodrich, but would a BF Goodrich have come with a sweetheart sprocket? If so does anybody know if that was a random thing or was it specific to a certain year/model?

My dad has a bfg with a sweetheart sprocket. Can't remember what year it is though.

i dont know about BFG's but i have noticed on the older schwinn bikes, the straight bars usually had the sweetheart style sprocket and the canti frames usually have a phantom style sprocket on them. just an observation though and if there is any truth to that, i have no idea where the clover leaf sprockets fit in. :?:

No, thats house paint brown, clearly painted in the 70's. :wink:

The low to mid range bikes had the sweetheart, the higher models usually had 1/2" pitch like the Phantom and Autocycle. A lot of the ladies' bikes had a skip version of Schwinn's cloverleaf chainring. -Adam
