Swung by my LBS today to pick up some pedals and decided to shoot a few lousy iPhone pics for your viewing pleasure.

Bicycle Exchange is located in old downtown Carrollton, TX on Broadway just off of Beltline and 35.

It's interesting that you say that. The owner Ron who has owned the business for 20-30 years now just recently sold the shop to John who has been working there since the 80s. I think Ron is probably in his 70s so it was time for him to retire.

The shop is located on the old downtown square area in Carrollton and the city is just about to finish a large public parking lot directly across the street from the shop. The square area is a bit of a ghost town on Sundays since most of the shops are closed so John is planning to hold some shows and rides once they finish the parking lot.

Keep me, us, up to date on the gathering in Carrollton. Not that far from me. Maybe eventually I'll have something to bring over.

You guys, have ruined me. My garage is slowly filling up with objects with spokes! :D

Ha Ha...you're doomed....doomed I say!

They were working on the parking lot today and it doesn't seem like it will be long before it's done...a matter of weeks.

I'll make sure I post the event here and on the CL.

very nicely stocked store! :) lotta old stock kustom kruisers still lurking around. had to smile when i seen the price tag on the kk roadster. i bought mine off of ebay, about 2-1/2 years ago, for $169 buy it now, then drove 7 miles to a schwinn store and loaded up the box!

Does that brownish/goldish looking boys bike in one of your pics have a tank that is welded on??? Yikes...I hope they left a vent hole somewhere. If not I think that thing will rust out in no time. Gary

my lbs has one of those, all aluminum and actually pretty light for as big as they are, i believe the tanks are open on the bottom though too. even the springer fork is aluminum on those !!!

them bikes all seem high priced ...? or is it just me ???

High priced compared to what you have seen these same bikes selling for elsewhere or just expensive in general?

The Kustom Kruiser Kobra 5 is a 2006 model bike and originally retailed for $429.99....looks like they are trying to sell it for $329. Now the question is, should the fact that it's 4 years old bike make a huge difference in the price even though the bike is still technically new? Does depreciation work the same with modern cruisers? It seems like the unique models seem to retain their value to some degree no matter how old they are....especially if they were one that they didn't make a whole lot of.
