I saw the guy on the bike on the news that got swallowed by the wave. He went from riding one second to dragging his bike out of the surf the next. I knew it wasn't Skipton because I didn't see those big fat torqouise fenders. :p Gary

The swell on Friday was the tail end of Thursday night's storm. We were up in Door County for the craziness. Seriously, I've been in a couple less-intense hurricanes. Power was out for 80% of the Door until Saturday. Luckily we had a gas fireplace in our room which helped a lot.
Nice thing is the community up there is all rowing the boat in the same direction so to speak, so they really have their $Hl# together.

Wednesday the wind was even stronger then two weeks ago.... 50mph with gusts over 60mph

I tried to ride down to the S curve were the bicyclers almost got washed away two weeks ago.

But wisely the city would not let you close to that spot. path taped off and security guard would not let you any further.
