I have stripped one of them a lot more to see what it looks like...hard work by hand using wire wool!! :headbang:

Liking how it looks though, just need to leave them outdoors to age a little.

Any tips on what to cover them in to aid the rust process?

No you're view of Scotland isn't far wrong!! Think we just lack the rain followed by good heat to make a really crusty baked look. :rockout:

There was a guy who used to post on a U.K. Custom Motorcycle forum did a nice Fibreglass replica of a vintage tractor seat but I can't find a contact anywhere now.

I think there only about 30 quid
