Hey fellow members, this is a simple bike carrier for your car, cheap and reliable.
Is inspired by 1918 Ranger's Bike Carrier viewtopic.php?f=1&p=671211
Tests proved to be very satisfactory, and for under 50 bucks you can build this, any questions are welcomed!

How'd you make the bars the bike actually sits on? What is the black padding I see on them? (I recognize the black foam on the horizontal bar, looks a lot like plumbing insulation.
 
Solid bars, heated and bent with conduit bender.
Padding is from the hardware store, it fitted the bars perfectly so it came home with me 8) but I don't know what is it for... home made bike carriers maybe? :lol:
