Bike storage

Any good ideas on storing bicycles in a small space,but easy to remove one without having to move others out of the way?All of ours are stored in the basement with an outside door.It makes it hard to get around or do any work.I would love to hear/see any ideas.Thanks

Some guys hand them by one wheel from the ceiling or a wall. Bikes are about 6 feet long, so the vertical hanging saves a lot of space. there are hanging devices on eBay.

I've seen people that store them sans pedals, so that they slide in and out between each other easier.

Sans pedals and with the bars turned, they become quite narrow. I hang mine from the ceiling in my basement as well as upstairs in the garage. This works best for me.

He beat me to it, just loosen the stem and turn the bars.

Sans pedals,bars turned,and cardboard in between. I look for empty boxes at the store when I go shopping,and cut the boxes to a flat sheet.
