Every town has them. The Legion puts a howitzer in the parking lot, the rcaf building mounts a plane, there is an APC at the armory. Let's see some pics of bikes and military vehicles and memorials. If there's a plaque, why not include it too!

There was an elementary flight school on the grounds from 1940-45, now they have the cheapest beer in town, but you better remove your hat before entering, or you buy the next round

sure why not.

P40 Warhawk at Wheeler Army Airfield on Oahu. Just a mile or so from where I lived. Every time I would ride there, I would imagine all those P40's burning on the tarmac during the Pearl Harbor attack.

The famous control tower on Ford island, where all the ships were moored during the attack. The airfield here was bombed too, and two of the hangars are museums that are great to visit. The tower and ops building shown here have been fully restored now and you can tour them also. I would ride the perimeter path on the Island where you can still see the strafing marks on the pavement.

Also at Ford island is the Battleship Missouri and other memorials to ships there.

The USS Utah memorial, you still can see the ship laying there on it's side.

I couldn't find my pics of the Arizona memorial, but I'll post them too when I find them. Wheeler, Pearl, Hickam, MCAS Kaneohe, Schofield Barracks, tons of historical places. I wish I had places like that to ride here in the Philippines, good clear paths.

I've seen that Warhawk, being TDY there in June 1984.

War of 1812 Memorial
Dedicated on August 30 2014 by the city of Davenport and its citizens to commemorate the battle that took place on and around Credit Island on September 4 and 5 1814

This was the last battle for control of the upper Mississippi River during the War of 1812.

The battle involved American regular and militia troops who fought a large native force of several tribes allied with British troops.
