Before they finished the bridge, the arches turned in to skateboard ramps. Splat. They fenced it off for a couple years until they added the planters. The city skate park is just a few hundred yards upstream.

IMO, add some yellow paint and you get the "Golden Arches". Want fries with that?

^great bike. Rockhoppers are very underrated

Yep. I got for $40 some 20 years ago. A 1996 model or so. RockHopper FS A1, aluminum frame, Rock Shox fork. Replaced the bb, hub cones, chain, seat, brakes, shifters, Avid Speed Dial brake levers, grips, tires, tubes. It's been a lot of places from the Everglades to the Barkley marathon course in Tennesse to the Big Backyard ultra, across Iowa, etc. A really good general purpose bike. I've been looking for a red one but they are hard to find. Specialized painted a bunch of models bright red with white lettering that I thought looked more exciting that my drab looking grey model.

When I bought it, the seller told me it was stolen from his second floor apartment balcony one night. The girl friend heard a noise and got to see it being ridden away. It was back the next morning. The seller was moving out of town. I had to walk it 3 miles back to work as it had 2 flats and no rim tapes. It was my primary commuter for few years. Great urban bike with the Schwinn/Kenda Komfort tires. If I could only have ten bikes, this would be one of them.
