Billiards balls

Hey guys love the forum! I was wondering what kind of bit I should get for drilling into a billiards ball. I'm sure someone here has done it and has some tips. Thanks in advance!!! :mrgreen:

Although I've never done it,I'm guessing a diamond tip drill bit.

Might be cheaper and easier to just buy a ball already drilled and tapped from the speed shop.

wow thought 50 people would give you an idea of how...... i did mine with a wood drill bit and a bench vice. wrap the ball in duct tape and vice it. then drill.

I've never done it so I have no pointers.Maybe everyone is kinda standoffish because he has'nt done an Intro............ :? :?

ive never done one myself(always thought theyd be too heavy and throw the car outta gear)....... just beer taps for me :wink:

most billiard balls are some sort of plastic
i put a three ball on thr gear shifter of my 57 vw vinal sun roof baha
also has a 2.3 ford water cooled motor with an adapter plate
any way i did not have a drill press at the time and asked a friend to drill it for me
he just used a common drill bit
then i used a standard tap to thread the hole
it worked out well
