My vote is without truss rods. The modern frame design looks just fine without them.

Good point Luke. I measured 3X's to make sure that I'd have enough clearance.
Agreed Deven! The truss rods will be going back on my Electra Indy.
Ok, so the build was on hold due to issues with the frame that I had built for me. Mainly the fact that it was too small for me.
So I ditched the plans to us a custom frame & scored a Kustom Kruiser off of CL. It had been freshly powder coated so that saved me some $$$!
Here's the KK as it was when I picked her up:
After ditching the apes:
After ditching the chainguard. Installed the Brooks B68 & slapped on the 3G wheels w/Bontrager Solana white wall tires:
The squeaky springer had to go. I wasn't feeling the white walls so I swapped them for some straight black Solana's:
Just a few more tweaks & additions then she'll be done.
