Well, the idea is to keep the early 19's look, keep it at a 50cc level so no license plate or tags need to be bought and to be able to shift. So i went with a horizontal 4stroke 4 speed manual, 49cc engine. To fit it i got me a vintage female Schwinn frame and customize the heck out of it. So far it looks like this.

. Im thinking making a hand shifter on the right side of the tank. and few more things.

Dang! Keep the pics coming.
Well, I'm glad you like. I just finished making the internal threads for the tank, chopped the seat tube, reinforced the rear upper axle tubes and welded the seat bracket. I think It looks 100 times better with the seat sitting lower.

I like to build the bike as a rolling chassis with most parts on. It keeps me with a fresh and constant image of the stance and looks off the bike. I noticed that it also spark ideas. I hope you guys like. If you see anything that you may want to know how i did it feel free to ask.

Sweet bike! Is that a moped motor?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. That is a horizontal motor normally found on racing pitbikes. This one is the big bore one which is highly desirable and most pro competition guys use it to swap it on their honda 50cc bikes do to its power. It is a 49ml which is the same as saying 49cc. But rather than having just one speed and only 1 to 2.5hp it has 6.8hp, also it is kickstart and manual 4speeds. Super desirable this days. It is also 4 Stroke, so no annoying weedeater noise lol... no offense to anyone here running 2cycles.. it is just not for me. No peddaling needed on this beast, plus with the torque converter i made and the rear 34t i should be hitting 55mph easily

I guess the cons is the amount of fabrication that you'll have to do on the frame for ex..on this bike i did the following
--- stretched the frame 8" from neck to seat post tube.
---- Had to make and weld 3 engine mounting brackets, one at the bottom (cant see it), one at the top and one in the rear of the motor.
---- Also a lot of fabrication in the tank etc,, i will post more picks soon.

i know this is a bit late but is that a soda can top on your gas tank
hahahaha,,no that was the gas cap before i welded it,, if you look at the last pictures, youll notice that the gascap is now welded flush to the gas tank. Nothing portrudes anymore.

Oh i see now what you mean,,, hahahha it does look like a soda can top..lol...it is the gas cap it does look a little like a soda can top.. it is a replica of an airplane's gas cap. the quey pops up , you turn it and the cap comes off,,pretty clever. I like it cause it sits perfectly flush to the tank.
