Well here we go again, I will post picks tommorow but the decision on what to build was a tough one as I have a hard time finding the old framed balloon bikes I am going with another diamond frame. A 1951 Indian to be exact,board track style with a nine speed? yes nine speed I am going to trade wheels with my 63Western Flyer three speed internal and the three speed external, now to find some 26x13/8 white tires.... :shock:

dont know if youre into grey but you might want to swing by college(since youll be down tomorrow anyway).......im pretty sure they have solid grey in that size

Haven't started much as you can see by my lawn ( ya thats it its a lawn),Unfortunately I have to weedwack again, but Harris Cyclery has creme tires, so thats a thought. And those bars wont slide into the stem, bummer but I have some stainless steel MX Bars that will do the trick. I am getting my plan together of using the main older components on the bike but upgrading to give it a somewhat modern feel, paint is still a delema as far as color black/gold, gray/red, dk green/creme.....choices. I want to paint it along the lines of the twenties, solid color with pinstriped accents along the lugs on the frame.Hopefully I can start tearing down soon.

Hey Jim, you need to get your priorities straight . . . cut the lawn today and it will start to grow again before you put the mower away.
On the other hand, if you work on your bike today, you can ride away from the overgrown mess tomorrow! It works for me! :lol:

I should rename this "slow build" but way too many irons in the fire. Its ok when the deadline gets closer I will just be grumpy pants and whine till I get to go out and work on the bike. Well here's a parts bike I picked up for ten I really like the fenders even though the front needs a lot of work and the rear brake is cool along with the crank cover, the front fork is bent but check the reflectors, sweet. the last pick is just a mock up on the changuard (needs a little modification,its long!)
