I just got an update e-mail from the guy who bought the bootlegger. He has added an 80cc motor, a bean can gas tank, and has more in the plans. He said I should see him buzzing around Kokomo this summer. Another Kokomo Rat Rodder.

Tell him he needs to join the site so we can keep up with what he is doing easier than going through you. Its always nice to know that something you put your time and effort into is being appreciated. I bet it was tough letting it go but now at least you know its in good hands.

Yeah, I told him about the site when I sold it and again when I responded to his e-mail. It was kinda hard to let it go but I hit a brick wall in thinking of what else to do to it and it not look "overly done" and it was time for a new project. Can't keep them all.

At least the new owner is going to do right by it. Not paint it or something. It sounds like that bike meant a lot to you.

Yeah it was the first bike I built as a member here. My first build thread, one of the members here even named the bike. Kinda special but there will be many more to build so I'm not worried about it. I had my good times with it, Hauled A LOT of stuff home with it, and racked up A LOT of miles on it. Time for someone new to enjoy it. One bike in exchange for getting someone hooked on RatRodBikes....Well that's a price I can live with. :D
