Bought this, now what?

So I got this Sturmer Archey hub today for $40. BTW, he has 2 more. But since I have never even seen one in person before I don't know anything about what to put on it for gears. I've only dealt with sprockets that were still with the hub they came with, but this is NOS.

looks like it takes a freewheel, guess thats what you will need.

Maybe I'm not understanding what's being asked or talked about, but isn't that a front wheel hub with a drum brake :?:

That's the same exact hub as I have in my Peugeot folding bike with 3 speed cluster.

It has a larger spacer on the axle so its set up to take a multi speed freewheel. If you want to run a single speed freewheel simply remove the large spacer and install two thinner ones on either side. The thickness will depend on what sort of dropout spacing you want. Then you can center the axle in the hub.

I have no problem running multi speed, I just got it cuz drum brakes are cool.

I have never seen a 3 speed cluster, just 5 and up.
