I recently answered a Craigslist ad selling "old bike parts". When I contacted him he said he had a couple frames and wheelsets but couldn't tell me much about them, like pretty much anything. He said he also had some old skiptooth parts but the only one he really knew about was a New Departure skiptooth hub. He wanted me to make an offer to have "a bunch of stuff shipped to my house". Possibly against my better judgement I gave him $45 and took a gamble. Here is what I got in the mail today.
Skiptooth chain
Bendix hub in need of new axle and bearings
New Departure skiptooth hub (10 tooth)
4 tubes (the Ward's has been patched twice and one has no real markings)
Sproket
Seat post
And 3 seats
The little one in the middle is the roughest. The metal pan is cracked.
The fat bottom Troxel on the right looks like a restoration project I can probably tackle.
And the other little one that is mostly still covered is pretty sweet too.
