Brake cables for english racer (updated)

Got new tires on it and have the 3 speed working great. but before I can sale it it needs a new rear brake cable but everything Ive tried is way to short, anyone have any ideas??

You could shorten the cable housing or buy a tandem length cable.

Just hit you local bike shop, they should have some. Take your old cable with you to get the correct length. You just might need just regular MTB cable. The tandem cables might be several feet to long.

Also it looks like the front and rear brakes are on the wrong side, and it even looks like the brake assembly is.... Like weird and put together wrong.

have you tried pulling the old cable out, lubing it with a light oil and reinstalling it?

looks like it's set up for a left handed person.

you can get just the cable, or cable and housing set, but the housing is usually black.

really didnt think about if it was set up for a lefty or a righty lol just thru the stuff on the mountain bike bars to test it all out

Ordered a set of brake cables yesterday for this thing. hope to find it a new home soon. still need to put grips on it and find a comfortable seat.

Not sure I really like working on these light weights but its a pretty nice ride. Its almost done, Just need to true the front rim and then its ready for a new home.
