This Canadian built cruiser was found as a frame in the garbage and I have been working on it for the past 3 years. It is my daily ride and is very comfortable. The headlight was updated with white LED's and is very bright. The bracket on the top tube is a camera mount for filming rides. The picture at the bottom is with my homebuilt trailer hauling a big piece of furniture that I found in the trash that day. The bike is only held by the kickstand. The trailer is very well balanced and this was an easy pull despite the weight.

You could say that it is a working rat.

Great ride, xddorox.

I just bought one of those LED flashlights the other day and I actually thought it would make a good headlight if I mounted it on my handlebars. I didn't think about redoing a headlight with it. That's a nice touch.

I have to say, though, that the trailer got most of my attention. Great idea.

And it looks like someone's bedroom door took a hit and ended up as the trailer bed. Great idea - and obviously it's useful too.

Looks good! Like the patina....reminds my of my 1st rat....

nothing i love to see more than a working rat. i feel bad sometimes that i don't ride my bikes enough. but none of my bikes are trailer queens since the lucky 7 has been done (or at least rideable) i have ridden it everyday to the store from work where it is on display. can't wait for the warmer weather so i can really let her stretch her inner rat. damn it is cold here 25 right now at 10:03 pm brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks for the comments guys. I have 2 trailers that I built and the BRC is the one used to pull them. I'm going to modify the small trailer so it looks like a miniature contractor type trailer with a drop down back door and a side door to get to stuff near the front. It will be great to carry tools and food to rides, maybe even a small BBQ! Also, I'll have a ton of space to plaster all sorts of website url's on it for sites like mine and this one of course. I figure using coroplast, it's cheap, light and strong. Gotta go work on my suicide shifter for now. :D

B.R.C.
mistakenly known as "Bike Riders Choice" when it actually stands for "Brian,Rick,Charles" or somethin like that....

they made a pretty good bike.It was a Vancouver based company.

nice "pack rat" ...tough as nails I'll bet!
great trailer as well!

Being a five speed bike, this thing has a lot of cable going about and nothing to hold it down. I used electrical tape, but it looks kinda cheezy. I had this idea of using hockey stick tape to hold the cables down and follow the shape of the frame. It also has that old whatchamacallit look. The flat surface matches well with the paint as well. I liked it so much that I taped one of my cables that was white with it. Let me know what you think. It looks a lot better in daylight than with indoor flash photos.

Here are some images I took outside today since we are at a tropical 28 degress compared to -15 yesterday. I even took it for a run around the block to find out that my legs are shot. Better get on the exercise bike before the spring to get them ready. The bike is pretty much complete. I need to clean the whitewalls on the other side of the rear wheel with some SOS pads(steel wool with soap in them). You have a better look at the hockey tape set up.
