I thought you may be interested in my little 40's "Fanny B" board tracker replica I built. I'm an overly enthusiastic classic bike/car/anything mechanical geek (a bit weird as I'm 18) and managed to convince my A level Technology teachers to let me build something different- providing I managed to blag it into the specification of the curriculum. I'd been dreaming of getting my hands on something rusty, dirty and hopeless to most others, and turning it around into the kind of bike it should have been right from the start!
As with any other bike builder- I spent a ridiculous amount of hours on her (I stripped the frame with white spirit, sand paper and copious amounts of wire wool taking about 3weeks solid) and just like the idea of showing her around a bit.
I was flattered to get a great response at some local shows- also winning "best vintage" over an Indian Powerplus and a very early Triumph.
You may have already realised that the fuel tank is made from an old fire extinguisher I stripped and cut up a bit to work in the frame (even if it is Massive). I have loads of build photos I'll post up if you want to see them

Everything has been done by me, apart from the magneto rebuild which was done by a local autocycle legend (he breathes fire in his spare time- What!?)
The picture was taken by a good friend of mine the night I assembled here after spraying, unfortunately I dont have a good photo of her when I added the last bits. I made my own hand grips using a strip of saddle leather wound, and bound with twine on each end. Worked damn well!

Re: British built "Fanny B" Board Tracker

I'm just setting up a Photobucket account now, so I can put some pictures up of the build as well as the final ones. I've sold her now to afford travelling next year. I've been hanging around this forum anonymously for a couple years, some incredible builds!
