Probably all for the good anyway, since I'm not sure I'd be allowed to cut down the seat tube on the bike...

Absolutely fantastic exhibition of creativity! It is far and away the best parody use of that video clip I have ever seen.

It did turn me off to being in the build off though. I just want to build a cool bike in tribute to a great man that changed how we americans see ourselves through expressions of functional mechanical art. Bitching and Bunnies aren't additive to that for me, though I begrudge no one their fundamental human right to inflict bitching and bunnies on the universe.

The build-off is what you make of it. Some make it just a fun time for themselves and a few others, some take it very seriously, some are true competitors and are going for the win, others just use the time limit as motivation to actually finish a build for once. Whatever you make it out to be, all those people can co-exisit within the build off just fine as long as everyone just does what they do without worrying so much about others.
