Has a poll for builders only ever been considered?

I think the only way that can be done (officially) with the forum software would be to manually enable each individual account that is allowed to vote in that particular poll. Seems very labor-intensive and can only be done in the background by an administrator. I could be wrong with the new update there may be a switch that they could throw but from previous experience I knew it was not an option
