I think maybe some brass washers between the frame and the bottom of the tank would give the look of it floating but have that added little touch when you look closer.

You need to do a set of wide rims with woodgrain hydrographics to match the tank. I would leave the frame black. Maybe some Tapewood grips? Let the wood be the focal point.
