Cable question

I went to Coaster swap and purchased a ND triplspeed but did not make sure the cable fit the components. Turns out it doesn't and I would like to identify this cable. Thanks.

Is that both ends of the same cable? If so, it looks like a shift cable for a Sturmey Archer or Shimano 3 speed. The small end goes to the shifter and the large end attaches to the mechanism on the rear hub. I don't know how a ND 3 speed looks so I can't say if it's for that, but it does look brand new.
