SOME ALTERNATE CRANK - SPROCKET OPTIONS

Running a 7-speed has me re-thinking the gearing, what is anyone else running up front with 7 internal in the back?

Re: CALIFORNICATION - Now with Jerald Tires!

I run a 42T on my Skull Skates cruiser with a Nexus 7 our back.

Re: CALIFORNICATION - Now with Jerald Tires!

That little one i'm showing is a 36, is your S&S a 26"er? And how does it pedal off the line?

Re: CALIFORNICATION - Now with Jerald Tires!

It is a 26" bike.

Seems to ride fine...I probably start off in 2nd gear.

LATE NIGHT MOCK UP!

I like the fact that I have the same amount of clearance between the front fork/tire and rear frame/fork.

Re: CALIFORNICATION - Late Night Mock Up

Love that ratty shifter.
How about unscrew the skinny shifter handle, then weld a bolt with the same size threads to the cut off end of the ratty shifter.

Re: CALIFORNICATION - Late Night Mock Up

The tires look sick!

With the ratty shifter, maybe unscrew the little aluminum handle, and tap the face of the HBBC shifter and bolt the ratty shifter to it? That really does belong on the build...

One more option, hit up MIGZ and get a Project 346 Shifter from him - you should be able to attach the ratty shifter pretty easily to that one.

Re: CALIFORNICATION - Late Night Mock Up

Got some time to do paint and body work this weekend! All primed up, now I just need to select the final color.

Re: CALIFORNICATION - Inspiration!

So with a little research and the absence of an airbrush or expensive painting equipment, this is what I came up with...............

And here is the base coat!

Re: CALIFORNICATION - Inspiration!

It was way too humid here today to do any more painting, so I polished the headbadge. Even thinking of hitting it with the Clear Orange paint????
