I'm going to get a couple new seats for projects. But for my own ride I'm thinking of doing a custom color. I would want the seat to match. That all depends on finding the material (Where can a guy find glitery plastic material?)

Anyway, if I find it, can a local upholsterer do it, or do I need to send it to a specialist?

Here's kind-of the color:

Go to walmart sporting goods and buy a roll of closed cell foam padding that they use to put under sleeping bags. Closed cell foam won't soak up water. Get some contact cement and glue a piece to the pan. You can use 2 pieces if you want more padding.

I finished mine with leather. The shiney material you want probably works even easier. Gary

How did you get the edges on your foam so clean and uniform? looks great by the way.

I glued it on a bit oversize and when the glue (contact cement) dried I trimmed it with an X-acto knife with a fresh blade. Gary
