Hola everybody! BTW, thanks to all the people who helped me with my messaging issue...I was finally able to contact and make a deal w Joel Jeter and was able to take that sweet double straightbar frame off his hands. And thanks for the killer deal Joel!!
Aaaaaand speaking of that frame...the only way I can get my caliper to fit this "bracket" without changing to a longer mounting bolt, is to mount it upside down on the inside of the frame. I actually think it looks kinda cool, but I was wondering if there is any reason(s) why I shouldn't. I mean, the directional pull is the same and the calipers aren't any weaker just from simply facing the opposite direction, and Im on the opposite side of the mounting bracket, but I dont see how that would be an issue either...any thoughts?? Am I overlooking anything? I'm running a vintage schwinn springer front end, so I cant put any front brakes on it...depending on what I hear here...my only other options are either a coaster brake, or a longer mounting bolt. I'll post updates of the build in the proper forum. Thanks in advance...

There is a thread somewhere on here about fabricating a simple bracket to mount a brake caliper on that style fender bridge. Some time the factory ones show up but can be expensive when they do. My concern with what you have done is the braking force maybe being too much for the way you have it attached.

I saw a you tube vid of some cat that attached his calipers the same way...it held up fine. Its actually a part from a center pull brake set up that held the brake pad to the arm...anyway, my big concern was more about the backwards mounting position... honestly, im not gonna be doing any high speed downhill stuff..🤪🤪 I guess if it breaks Ill find out pretty quick...😂
