These truss rods I have are in pretty bad shape. Pretty bent up. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for straighten them. If its something that I need to take to a metal worker then I'll more then likely make new ones. I do have a torch and vice.
Can I fix these truss rods?

Ive straightened plenty a lot worse with just a vice, dont clamp down on them though, just use it to cradle the straight part of the rods and leave the bends at the edge of the vice. Push or pull by hand as needed.

Should I heat them up first? If so how hot do I get it?
Pad the vise jaws, get a stool a comfortable working height, a beverage of choice and just sit there tweaking and turning. You'll get a feel for it pretty quick and get encouraged by the results. When you've had enough, let them sit and come back another day/night and tweak some more; you'll know when you are done.
