Can someone please decode this JC Higgins serial number for me?

Someone had said November 1960 so I assume the K is for the month on the chart and I know that sometimes the numbers for the year are flipped so I assume the 06 means '60.

Looks like a Columbia built bike. wishbone stays, covers on the crank bearings.

Definately '60's with that headlight and frame design.

Yep, Columbia, the chain ring gives it away also.

Columbia bikes didn't have a lot of changes between 46 and 61, but that seat looks more of a 1961 seat than the larger 1946 seats. This is a 60's Columbia:
