I knew I had the perfect set of levers somewhere for it, but could not find them.
By chance, I located them in the bottom of my citric acid bath. Whoops!
Only been soaking for about 4 weeks hahaha.
I cleaned up the welds on the bars and added some grip tape to cover the added sections.
My mate of wise words taught me "if you f### it, make a feature of it", works well here.
Next up was my first attempt at installing v brake mounts. Made a little jig, and successfully welding them on. Perfect.
Except I fitted them back to front
V brake arms wouldn't work. But I did have a set of cantilevers
Problem solved
We have brakes.
Also added the shifter for the IGH, on the stem worked out to be the perfect spot. For now at least. I will tidy the cables up a little better, but this will get me mobile.
Next job is the sissy bar.
Then it will be time for a decent cruise to find any issues. Exciting times
