I'm looking at a girls Cardinal and don't know anything about it. Head badge say Cardinal Bicycle Co. St. Louis Mo. It was blue and white and was repainted w/green house paint so allof the original marking are covered. This is suppost to be a 1948-9 it is a skip tooth and rough, Mulson brakes, seat is rough, Davis deluxe tires (trashed) that's about all. So does anyone know anything about this bike co.

Re: Cardinal Bicycle Co.

Really need a picture. There were lots of bike companies but also lots of companies that had the big guys rebadge bikes for them. Schwinn did this lots.

Re: Cardinal Bicycle Co.

I know there were a lot of rebadging going on, I don't think it's a Schwinn.
So tell what you think

I was thinking maybe Colson, going be the chainguard. I just talked to her and she said bottom dollar is $55. Do I jump on it or do I forget it?

In the bay area I would jump all over that if just for the chance to switch my 1941 HP Snyder back to being a skiptooth bike.

I would say huffy by the rear rack and chainguard and sprocket. what is the serial number I would guess like 2h***** meaning it is a 52 huffy built bike.

Hmmmm...
Speaking as a St. Louisan I think I'm looking at this from a different perspective.
For others not familiar with St. Louis sports let me simply sum it up. Cardinals baseball is AWESOME and any of the other sports we have BARELY registers on the radar. In fact, Blues hockey is just something to watch in the off-season, and Rams football??? Ummmm, no. This is a baseball town, the end.

I would actually like to have that bike.

I don't really want another girls bike, and it's not really worth much $$ to me, in fact I would most likely return it to its original Cardinal colors and put it on loan to the Cardinals organization.

What's it worth to you if I drove most of the way to KC to pick it up? PM me if you like.

Tailwinds,
The address I found for Cardinal is Guarantee Bicycle Co. 1164 N. Kingshighway or 6139 Delmar or 3606 Natural Bridge, St. Louis Mo. 1164 looks like a store front church, 6139 looks to be new buildings and 3606 looks to be a parking lot across from fairground Park. Per Map Quest. This doesn't tell me anything about the bike, but something of the places that housed the company. So now I need to find out if there was a Cardinal Dept. Store. If you want this bike I can see if it's still available but you would have to come to KC to get it.
