OK so whenever I pedal the area around my chain wheel makes a clanging noise. It sound like the chain and chain wheel are grinding together. Also on a side note can you use wd40 to oil the chain :?:

Mine doesn't look like that but looked like that only worst when I got it
Does it make the sound once per revolution? If so, the crank is hitting the chain guard or the kickstand on the other side.
If it's making a constant clanging, check the clearance of your chain guard to the chain and the sprocket.

Yea it is a 10 speed sorry miscounted. Also its only once per revolution

Ok I found the problem :mrgreen: . I took the chainwheel and all that apart only to find my bearings are shot :? . Also my right pedal will not come off :x

OK I looked at my other bikes but none of them fit. So now it must sit. Time to get money and look at my trek or buying a new ratrod.
