changing from skiptooth to modern chain question

what I want to do is just change out the rear sprocket from skiptooth to modern. my question is...will a bendix sprocket fit on a new departure hub. I got the bendix off just fine, came of easy. the new departure is giving me more trouble. does it spin off? or is it ridged like the bendix? this is something ive never attempted, and don't want to ruin anything. any help would be appreciated!

there is a snap ring. Not like you would use snap pliers on.but,? it's like a wire ring .when you look at it, you will find the gap..take a small screwdriver or 2 & pop it out.by working around it.
hope that makes sense.
